How Do I Find Course Reserves? from Information Desk

Required and supplemental readings for courses are often found in the Reserves collection, located behind the Circulation Desk. Materials are placed in this collection by faculty request. Library staff may also reduce loan periods for high-demand items to ensure that everyone has access to them. This is done by placing items either on Reserve or on Short Loan.

You may search by Instructor, Course ID, or Course Name.

There are two different loan periods for high-demand materials:

3-Hour Reserves

Held at the Circulation Desk
DVDs, CDs, and photocopies
Other high demand materials
Professor copies
$1.00 per hour - overdue fines

2-Day Short Loans

Shelved with other books but identified as short loan items with a pink label on the spine of the book
$2.00 per day - overdue fines

Note that these items have higher fines and cannot be renewed.
