• If you've borrowed a Library laptop, you may print directly to the Library printer.

For personal laptops running Windows, we recommend PrinterOn.

For Mac laptops, we recommend setting up your laptop for direct printing in the Library.

First - Connect your laptop to the Nipissing University Wireless network by using the following method:

1. Click on the Apple icon located at the top left of the screen.
2. Click on System Preferences. Click on Network.
3. Click on Airport.
4. On the right side of the screen there is an option for network name. Click the dropdown and select nuwlnet from the list.

Second - Install the Library printer.

Instructions for Macbook’s running Mac OS X 10.5.x (Leopard) or Mac OS X 10.6.x (Snow Leopard):

1. Click on the Apple icon located in the top left corner of the screen and click on System Preferences.
2. Click on Print & Fax and then click on the + in the dialog box to add a printer.
3. Click on the IP icon located at the top of the dialog box.
4. Under Protocol, keep the option Line Printer Daemon
5. Fill in the appropriate printer information for the Education Centre Library, complete the following:
   1. In the Address input box, type the IP address for the Library: 204.187.25.110
   2. In the Queue input box, type in the Printer Queue Name: HPMacPrint
   3. In the Name input box, delete the IP address and type in Library Black
   4. In the Location input box, type the location of the printer (i.e. library)
   5. In the Print Using drop-down menu, choose Select this driver ... Generic PostScript printer
      
   6. Click on Continue to complete installation.

Print jobs sent from Macbook will appear on the Puffin Printer Station in the print job queue with your Mac account user name.

Once you have sent your document to the printer - you can retrieve it at the Puffin Printer by the Learning Common's computers.

• Your print job will only stay on the printer for 1/2 hour and will then be deleted.
• You will need a student card with money on it to retrieve your document
