Alumni of Canadore College and Nipissing University are entitled to alumni borrowing privileges.
As an alumnus of the college or university your library card is your alumni card. To obtain an alumni card:
- Canadore students should phone 705-474-7600, extension 5172
- Nipissing students should phone 474-3450, extension 4573
Community Members - If you are a library member in good standing at a participating local library, you can register today for a free PALS card for use at the Education Centre Library. The participating PALS (Public and Academic Libraries Sharing) libraries are:
- Bonfield Public Library
- Callander Public Library
- East Ferris Public Library
- Mattawa Public Library
- Nipissing First Nations Public Library
- North Bay Public Library
- Powassan & District Public Library
- Temagami Public Library
- West Nipissing Public Library
Likewise, Nipissing/Canadore students, staff and faculty can use a PALS card at these same libraries.

Patrons of South River - Machar Union Public Library can register today for a free LIBSHARE card for use at the Education Centre Library.
Students & Faculty from Ontario Colleges or Canadian Universities - Current students from other Ontario colleges are entitled to borrowing privileges. Students from other universities in Canada may be entitled to borrowing privileges. See Canadian Universities Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement for more details. A Library Card is given to you at the Circulation Desk. There is no cost for this card, but you must present a valid student card from your home institution.
Visitors to our library can become members by purchasing a library membership, which will entitle them to a library card.
The annual cost of the membership is based on the period from September to August and is pro-rated monthly:
- September: $50
- October: $46
- November: $42
- December: $38
- January: $34
- February:$30
- March: $24
- April $20
- May: $18
- June to August: $10
