Please note: Library staff do not pick up or transfer large library collections.
Books
The Library is interested in donations of books and other materials that will enrich and strengthen the collections for research and learning. Relevance to the courses offered at Nipissing and Canadore along with the physical condition of the items being offered form part of the rationale for accepting donations. The Library also accepts donations for Nipissing’s Bracebridge and Brantford campus libraries and Canadore College’s campus at Commerce Court and Parry Sound.
Gifts Acceptance Policy
On receipt, the Library becomes the owner of the materials and determines whether they will be added to the collection and where they will be located.
Generally, the Library does not accept the following types of materials: textbooks, incomplete sets, offprints, photocopies and ordinary magazines.
You may be entitled to a tax receipt for the fair market value of your donation. In most cases, book appraisals are done in house.
