Fines & Fees
If an item is 30 days past its due date, the patron will be charged a $125 Replacement Charge for the item in addtion to a non-refundable $25 Administration Fee.
Any account with more than $30 in fines will be blocked. Patrons with a blocked account will no longer be able to borrow items from the Library until their total fines are brought below the $30 limit.
When a patron woud like to borrow an item that is currently out, they may choose to place a hold on an item which recalls the item and the borrowing patron is asked to return the item to the library.
Recalled items must be returned within 7 days of the date the hold was placed. The borrowing patron will be notified by email that their items' due date has changed and it must be returned. If a recalled item is not returned within 7 days, fines begin to accrue.
Recalled books, kits, posters and puppets have a recall fine of $4.00/day to a maximum of $56.00.
Recalled media have a recall fine of $10/day to a maximum of $100.00.
If a recalled item is not returned within 14 days from its recall date, it will be marked lost and the borrowing patron is charged a $125 Replacement Charge for the item in addition to a non-refundable $25 Administration Fee.
