Paying Library Charges:

Beginning in August of 2018, the library will no longer be charging late fees for staff, students and faculty.

Borrowing periods have been extended to 28 days with 3 renewals.  Late material can be returned after its original date with no fines, unless the material has been placed on hold and recalled by another patron.  Recall fines are 50 cents per day per item.

Please be aware that if not returned, the replacement cost for library materials will be charged to your account 3 months (84 days) from the original due date.  These costs are permanent, non negotiable and are transferred to the Finance Department.  Marks, diplomas, and registration may be withheld for students at the discretion of the Finance Department until outstanding library accounts are paid.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the library has your current address, phone number and email to which notices will be sent.  Failure to receive notices does not warrant fine forgiveness or reduction.

Lost and Damaged Items

Should you lose or damage an item you will be charged for its replacement.

Library charges can be paid at the Circulation Desk by cash or cheque (made payable to the Harris Learning Library) only. If you wish to make payment debit, please contact the Overdues Technician at 474-3450 x 4570 for details.
