The Library has paid for subscriptions to a large number of E-Resources (including EBSCO databases, Proquest, Knowledge Ontario and many more). When you connect to E-Resources within the Library, from on campus, or from residence, you are automatically recognized as a Canadore College student, faculty or staff member. When you're off campus, you will need to follow a few steps to access these subscription resources.
Where do I start?
You must access these databases through the Library's E-Resources page. When you click on the E-Resource of your choice, you will see the off-campus login screen. If, for example, you're off campus and you arrive at a subscription resource from a Google search, you will not be recognized as a Canadore College student, faculty or staff member.
Am I eligible to use the off-campus login service?
Yes, if you are a current Canadore student, faculty, or staff member, and you have a Library account. Canadore College Alumni are not eligible to use E-Resources from off campus, but can use E-Resources within the Education Centre Library.
