Guide to Off-Campus Login Service (Canadore)

Due to technical challenges specific to Canadore College with the Omni migration, beginning December 13, Canadore library users will experience difficulty accessing services linked with library accounts, primarily renewals and library holds.

We are working with Canadore College to resolve the issue. We anticipate access to library resources and services for Canadore library users will be in operation by January, 2020. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding. For further information, contact: Ed Driedger (705-474-3450 x 4545 or edd@nipissingu.ca).

The Library has paid for subscriptions to a large number of E-Resources.  If you are using one of the 6 Community Use Computers located in the library you will be automatically connected to the resource.  Otherwise, when you connect to E-Resources both on and off campus you will need to follow a few steps to access these resources.

Where do I start?

You must access these databases through the Library's E-Resources page. When you click on the E-Resource of your choice, you will see the login screen.  If, for example you arrive at a subscription resource from a Google search, you will not be recognized as a Canadore College student, faculty or staff member.

Am I eligible to use the off-campus login service?

Yes, if you are a current Canadore student, faculty, or staff member, and you have a Library account. Canadore College Alumni are not eligible to use E-Resources except from one ofthe Community Use Computers located in the Harris Learning Library.
